Harri Deaves
Deaves began his rugby life with Pontyclun as an eight-year-old wing/full back. He then played for Pontypridd as a 13/14-year-old before returning to Pontyclun. After his first year at Bridgend College he was switched postions from centre to flanker and has never looked back.
While at Bridgend College, he was picked up by the Ospreys and is currently in this third year with them. He has played for Wales U18 and was selected to play for Wales U19 against England, but the pandemic ensured the game was never played.
Deaves had to overcome nerve damage in his groin and the pandemic before returning to action after a lengthy period on the sidelines. He made up for lost time in his first game for Wales U20 in the opening round of the fixtures in the 2021 Six Nations championship.
After two years spent on the sidelines recovering from injury, Deaves produced a man of the match performance as Wales got their campaign off to a winning start.
He also dabbled with rugby league as a 14-year-old and played for South Wales Rabbitohs alongside current Wales U20 teammates Sam Costelow and Ioan Evans.
