Young grew up in Dubai where he played for Dubai Hurricanes where he played in the back row before moving to the backs.
Just prior to doing his GCSE’s, he moved back to Wales and attended Stanwell School and played for Vale of Glamorgan.
He played for Whitchurch in the Welsh Schools & Colleges League and is currently in the Cardiff Rugby Academy.
