Like his Dragons back row partner Evan Minto, Jones has come through the Pontypool United pathway where he began playing as a five-year-old at Conwy Road.
He attended West Monmouth school in Pontypool and has come through the Dragons system, having played for thier U16s a year up, and U18s.
He was capped for Wales at U18 level and has been assigned to Pontypool for the first season of Super Rygbi Cymru.
He is doing an a butcher’s apprenticeship and has worn the same scrum cap since he was nine years of age.
