Ryan Woodman
The Dragons utility forward made his Wales U20 debut as a 17-year-old against Scotland in Parc Eirias in the second round of the 2022 U20 Six Nations.
The Caldicot product signed his first Dragons Academy contract in June 2021. He played in the second row in his first campaign but transitioned to his favoured back row position for the U20 Summer Series in 2022 where Wales reached the final against South Africa in Italy.
Woodman – who had featured for the Men of Gwent this season in the URC, suffered a serious thumb injury against Hollywood Sharks in a EPCR Challenge Cup defeat at Rodney Parade in January. His surgery ruled him out of the Wales Six Nations squad but he makes a welcome return to captain his country in his second World Cup campaign.
