The Glantaf pupil is the son of Cardiff and Bridgend back rower Owain Williams who was capped for Wales against Namibia in 1990.
Williams junior has already displayed a similar skillset to that of his father who was an extremely gifted footballer. He was a mainstay of the pack for the 2019 Six Nations campaign where his ball handling skills and line-out expertise often put Wales on the front foot.
