Girl power!
Girls’ rugby in Wales is enjoying a huge explosion of interest and participation with more than 10,000 girls now playing rugby in one of the school-club hubs.
Outside school too, the opportunities are on the rise, with girls-only clusters in their third spring-summer season.
This year there are even more opportunities for girls to get involved with the national game with 32 clusters around Wales and the age range extended from U7s to U18s.
The clusters’ ‘stage not age’ ethos means there’s something for everyone from tag and touch to full contact.
WRU TV visited one of the clusters – Stradey Sospans, where more than 100 girls have fun while playing rugby each week. Click here to find your nearest cluster, there is always a warm welcome for new players.
