Principality Premiership Round Up
The Ravens led 19-9 at halftime, thanks to tries from winger Richard Radford and centre Darren Simpson and the boot of outside-half Gareth David, but Davies kept slotting the goals and fullback Liam Gadd scored the winning try in the 73rd minute.
Bottom club GLAMORGAN WANDERERS’ miserable run continued with a 26-11 loss to CARDIFF at the Arms Park. Cardiff scored early through centre Richard Jones, and a penalty try and the boot of replacement outside-half Craig Evans took care of the rest.
Champions NEATH returned from LLANDOVERY with a 27-13 win, with the All Blacks leading 20-6 at the break and not giving the Drovers a chance to hit back. Centre Aled Bevan scored a try and kicked 12 points in an impressive victory.
MAESTEG climbed over SWANSEA on the table with a 16-6 victory at St Helen’s, scoring 10 points in the second half to break a 6-all deadlock. At CROSS KEYS, the home side had to settle for an 18-all draw with LLANELLI, with both sides scoring two tries and rival outside-halves Scott Mitchell (Cross Keys) and Gareth Bowen each kicking three goals.
League leaders NEWPORT stayed on top with a hard-fought 22-14 win at PONTYPRIDD. Ponty lead 14-12 going into the final 10 minutes, but late tries from Phil Osbourne and Nathan Williams added to a first half score by Gethin Robinson to give the Black and Ambers the win.
And EBBW VALE held on to third place with a 19-16 win at BEDWAS. The teams were level at 16-16 at the break, but a seventy-fourth minute Sam Mills penalty gave Vale the win.
