There had been some doubt over the venue for the fixture due to some contractual difficulties, but the game will now go ahead as previously scheduled.

“There have been some difficult negotiations over the past few weeks to ensure this fixture can be played at the Millennium Stadium,” said WRU Group Chief Executive David Moffett.

“But we now have an amicable arrangement between the BBC, S4C, Sky TV, the RFU and the WRU which will allow the match to be played in Cardiff. This is the best possible outcome for the players, the fans and the Unions and I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the negotiating process for the goodwill they have shown.”
