Llewellyn Heads To France
Gareth Llewellyn, Wales’ most capped rugby player, is heading to France.
Llewellyn, who played his 90th Test in last month’s 18-53 loss to South Africa, has signed a deal with Narbonne, according to agent Peter Underhill.
The 35-year-old lock becomes the third high-profile Welsh player to head to France, following fullback Gareth Thomas’ move to Toulouse and Stephen Jones’ decision to sign with Montferrand.
Llewellyn was released by the Neath-Swansea Ospreys during the season after a dispute with coach Lyn Jones.
“Gareth is excited about the possiblity of playing in France and starting a new phase of his career at the age of 35,” Underhill said.
